Abstract

ABSTRACT: Nine species of Phlebotomine sand flies in the genera Lutzomyia, Phlebotomus and Sergentomyia were maintained in closed laboratory colonies for 6 or more generations. Techniques for establishing and maintaining the sand flies are described and discussed.
